How to use the Dictionary

The Dictionary helps you look up words, phrases, or sentences, hear pronunciation, and practice speaking.

1. Open Dictionary

• From home, use the search entry point shown on your screen (search field and/or dictionary icon in the quick actions area).
• Type what you want to look up.

2. Review and practice

Open a result to see IPA, meaning, and example. Use the microphone to practice and view feedback.

3. During Read Aloud

Tap a word in the passage—or select a phrase where supported—to open Dictionary without leaving the lesson.
