How to Edit Existing Lessons

You can easily modify the content of any lesson you have created in ELSA School. This guide will show you how to update both "Read Aloud" and "Study Set" lessons.



1. Editing a "Study Set" Lesson




Follow these steps to add or remove words and phrases from a "Study Set".

  1. Navigate to the Curriculum tab.

  2. Find and click on the "Study Set" you wish to update.

  3. Click the blue Edit button in the top-right corner.

  4. You can now edit the list of exercises:

    • To add a new word or phrase, click + Add Exercise, type the new content, and click the checkmark () to confirm.

    • To remove an existing word or phrase, click the delete (trash can) icon next to it.

  5. After making your changes, click Save.

  6. A new version of the study set will be created and saved, leaving the original version unchanged.


2. Editing a "Read Aloud" Lesson



Use these steps to change the text or warm-up words in a "Read Aloud" activity.

  1. Navigate to the Curriculum tab on the left-hand menu.

  2. Find and click on the "Read Aloud" lesson you want to modify.

  3. Click the blue Edit button in the top-right corner of the page.

  4. You can now make changes:

    • Modify the main passage in the Details text box.

    • Add new words to the Warm up section by typing in the "Type here to add more" field and pressing Enter.

    • Remove a word from the Warm up section by clicking the delete (trash can) icon next to it.

  5. Once you are finished, click Save to apply your changes. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen.
