How to Create Study Set

ELSA School makes it easy to turn your existing teaching materials—whether it's a list of vocabulary, sentences from a textbook, or a reading passage—into interactive pronunciation lessons. Here’s how to use the "Create Content" feature to build your own Study Sets.

1. Getting Started

First, navigate to the lesson creation page.

  • From the dashboard, select the Curriculum tab on the left-hand menu.

  • Click the blue + Create Lesson button in the top-right corner.

  • Choose Generate Manually from the dropdown menu.

2. Adding Your Content

Once you're on the "Create Content" page, you can add your learning materials by typing or pasting them into the text box. There are several flexible ways to do this.

  • Method 1: For Simple Word or Phrase Lists

    • This is perfect for vocabulary or short expressions.

    • Simply type your words or phrases and separate each one with a semicolon (;). ELSA will treat each item as a separate exercise. This is useful when sometimes AI splits up the study set unintentionally. This will group all the exercise into one study set.

    • For example: "good morning; good afternoon; good evening".

  • Method 2: For Paragraphs or Passages

    • This is great for turning reading materials into speaking practice.
    • Copy a full paragraph from your source material and paste it into the box.
    • ELSA's AI will automatically detect each sentence and split the paragraph into individual exercises for you.

  • Method 3: To Create Multiple Lessons at Once

    • Option A (Formatted List): If your content is already organized with titles (e.g., [Lesson 1], [Lesson 2]), you can copy and paste the entire list. ELSA will automatically recognize the titles and group your sentences into separate lessons.

    • Option B (Using a Separator): To manually split a large block of text, simply paste all the content and then insert *** (three asterisks) on a new line wherever you want a lesson break.

3. Review and Confirm

After adding your content, you can finalize your new lesson.

  • Click the Generate button.

  • A new screen will appear where you can review the lessons and exercises. Here, you can:

    • Add a Title to each lesson.

    • Delete any unwanted sentences by clicking the 'x' next to them.

  • When you are happy with the setup, click Confirm.

4. Assign or Save Your Lesson

After a brief processing time, you'll see a "Lesson Successfully Created" message. ✅

From here, you have two options:

  • Assign to classes: Immediately assign this new lesson to your students.

  • Go to Library: Return to your curriculum library, where your new lesson will be saved for future use.
