How to Use the AI Content Creator

The AI Content Creator is a powerful feature within the ELSA School Dashboard that allows you to generate customized learning materials for your students instantly. Whether you need a vocabulary set or a reading passage, you can create engaging lessons in minutes simply by describing what you want. This saves you valuable preparation time and enables you to tailor content specifically to your students' needs.

Accessing the AI Content Creator

Navigate to the ' $C u rr i c u l u m$ ' tab from the main menu on the left.
Click the ' $C re a t e L esso n$ ' button in the top-right corner.
Select ' $G e n er a t e u s in g A I$ ' from the dropdown menu.

Creating Your Lesson

Once you launch the AI Content Creator, you are presented with a conversational interface where you can choose to create two types of lessons.

1. Create a Study Set (e.g., Vocabulary, Phrases)

This is ideal for creating flashcard-style exercises for vocabulary words or common phrases.

Step 1: Give a Prompt: In the chat box, type a clear description of the study set you want. Be as specific as possible.
- Example Prompt: "Give me a study set of 10 phrases to prepare students for their homestay in Australia."
Step 2: Generate Content: The AI will process your request and generate a list of phrases or words based on your prompt.
Step 3: Refine the Content (Optional):
- Edit Text: If you want to change something, you can ask the AI directly. For example: "Can you replace the first exercise with something else?" followed by "maybe something about wifi". The AI will update the list.
- Generate an Image: To add a visual aid, ask the AI to create an image. For example: "Can you generate a cute image". An image that matches the theme will be created for your lesson.
Step 4: Finalize: Once you are happy with the content and image, click ' $C o n f i r m$ '.

2. Create a Read Aloud Lesson

This is perfect for generating reading passages for pronunciation and fluency practice.

Step 1: Give a Prompt: Select the ' $C re a t e R e a d A l o u d L esso n$ ' tab. In the chat box, describe the passage you need.
- Example Prompt: "Give me a read aloud passage on artificial intelligence."
Step 2: Specify Details: The AI may ask for clarifying details like difficulty level and length. Provide your preference to tailor the content.
- Example Refinement: "medium length. Maybe make it simpler for kids."
Step 3: Generate Content: The AI will create a reading passage and a corresponding "Warm Up" vocabulary list based on your specifications.
Step 4: Refine the Content (Optional): Just like with Study Sets, you can ask the AI to make changes or generate a relevant image for the lesson.
Step 5: Finalize: When the lesson is ready, click ' $C o n f i r m$ '.

Assigning Your New Lesson to Students

After you click ' $C o n f i r m$ ', your lesson is created and saved to your curriculum library. You will then see a preview of the lesson.

From the preview screen, click ' $A ss i g n t o Cl a sses$ ' (or ' $C o n t in u e t o C re a t e A ss i g nm e n t$ ').
In the ' $C re a t e A ss i g nm e n t$ ' window, select the class or classes you want to assign the lesson to.
Set the 'Start Date & Time' and 'Due Date & Time'.
Click ' $A ss i g n N o w$ '.

A confirmation message will appear. Your students will now see the new assignment on their ELSA dashboard, ready for them to start learning!
